Kedarnath Badrinath Yatra
Kedarnath and Badrinath are Holy Places in Uttarakhand state. Which is known as Dhams. The tour of Dham are started from April , may to Sept. , Oct. in this post i tell you about Tour itinerary of Kedarnath and Badrinath how you visit the Holy Place.
Duration: 8 days & 7 nights
Destinations: Delhi-Haridwar-Rudraprayag-Kedarnath-Guptkashi-Joshimath-Badrinath-Rishikesh
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1:- Pick up from Haridwar railway station. And drop to hotel .Overnight at Haridwar.
Day 02: Haridwar - Rudraprayag (160kms/5hr)
Morning visit Haridwar Local Sight Seeing, later drive to Rudraprayag enroute visit Devprayag. Check in Hotel, night halt.
Rudraprayag: It is the confluence of river Mandakini and river Alaknanda. Temples: Rudranath and Chamunda Devi, Koteshwar Temple (3 Kms). .
Day 03: Rudraprayag - Kedarnath (75kms by road & 14kms Trek)
Morning drive to Gaurikund, Trek start from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or on by pony / Doli. Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes for an overnight halt at Kedarnath. Check in Hotel. Later visit Kedarnath Temple.
Day 04: Kedarnath - Guptkashi (14Kms down Trek & 67kms/3hr by Road)
Early morning, after Temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund. Later, drive to Guptkashi. Check in Hotel at Guptkashi.
Day 05: Guptkashi - Badrinath (kms/hr)
Drive to Badrinath via Ukhimath. Check in Hotel. Later at evening visit Badrinath Temple for Aarti.
Day 06: Badrinath - Joshimath (44kms/3hr)
Early morning, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakamal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee. Later drive back to Joshimath. Check in Hotel.
Day 07: Joshimath - Haridwar (284kms/9hr)
Early morning, visit Narsingh Temple & Shankracharaya Math, Temples & Sight Seeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram, Parmarth Ashram. Drive back to Haridwar overnight at Haridwar.
Day 8; - Haridwar to Delhi.
